I have re-established the domain http://www.freedomatlas.org/ to forward to my map of liberty-oriented organizations. This includes:
Ron Paul / Campaign for Liberty Meetups (RED)
Student Groups (BLUE)
Libertarian / Third Party Groups (GREEN)
Tea Party / Glenn Beck 912 Groups (YELLOW)
We can use this list to contact groups that are friendly to our causes for events such as straw polls, Ron Paul speaking engagements, educational rallies, fundraisers, or anything else you can think of.
Additionally: If you are familiar with coding in Google Maps API, or if you know someone who is, please contact me ASAP. This is a preliminary version of the map, and I would like to have some work done to it to make it more of a "real" website. With some work, I believe the list of groups would become self-sustaining, since users could report broken links and/or submit new groups to be added. I have previously raised funds to compensate a programmer who is able/willing to tackle this project.
If you find a broken link, or would like your group added, please contact me and I'll do my best to correct it ASAP.
Thanks all! :)

hey malkusm, check out: https://secure.bettermeans.com/projects/1231
It's a platform we're testing out based on a voluntary business model and there already is a workstream being proposed that has to do with meetups.

What about adding the Tea Pot Parties? Not sure how active they got with Willie Nelson.

Facebook Groups/Pages, such as this one, are good additions to the map as well.

As I stated in the OP - if you have any groups you'd like to see added, let me know and I'll do my best to get them up there. :)

You really should check this platform out, malkusm. It's actually tailored more for doing programming/website related projects than anything else. There are two programmers on there I know of for sure (one being myself).

This is very interesting. Seems that we could create one of these things to make the workflow for the map more transparent, potentially. I'll look into it more next week when I have a bit more time on my hands.

question: will the search function work? when i type in a state or city it looks like it clears the map and uses regular google maps... possibly remove the search bar if it can't search within the map? anyway, thanks
