View Full Version : Ron Paul, "Help Send Me to Iowa!"

I just got the following email, I looked and did not see it posted anywhere:

In a word, WOW!

I have been flattered and honored by the outpouring of support our movement has given me in the past week.

This attention culminated with the big win in the CPAC Presidential Straw poll, and we certainly have the big government elites running scared!

Together, we are saying, loud and clear, that our shared commitments to Liberty, Limited Government, and Sound Money are here to stay, and that they will carry right to the ballot box in 2012.

Along with all the attention and National news, invitations to visit key political states are pouring in. I want to honor as many of these requests as possible, and I need your help.

I have committed to trips to Iowa on March 7th and March 23rd, and I need your help to get me there.

My trip on March 7th would include three stops across the state, and it will prove tremendously valuable to our cause. But, all of these stops are hundreds of miles apart and cannot be done in a car. This trip will require a charter plane, and let me tell you, it is not cheap.

Others can rely on big corporate money to fund their travel budget.

We may not be able to tap the deep coffers of the Establishment, but we have something they will never have: a committed group of individuals armed with knowledge and ideas.

If thousands of us come together and chip in, we can counter the big special interest money.

Other invitations are flooding in from New Hampshire, Florida, California, Arizona, Nevada, and more.

I want to honor as many of these requests as possible to spread our message and set the stage for all of our political activity over the next 18 months.

But, I need your help now.

Please consider a contribution to Liberty PAC today. Your contribution will let me beef up my travel budget and accept as many opportunities as I possibly can.

Will you consider a contribution right now?

Of course, $5,000 per person ($10,000 per married couple) is the maximum contribution legal under federal law.

But whatever you can do - $500, $250, $100, $50, or $35 - will help tremendously.

Quite a few supporters have taken to giving $20.12, $201.20, and even $2012.00.

I am so appreciative of both the financial support and the personal encouragement in these contributions.

The REVOLUTION we started is at a crucial stage.

Your support will determine how you and I can move it forward and where I can go in the coming months to spread our message.

For Liberty,

Ron Paul

P.S. Please remember that time is critical, and I must know as quickly as possible where I can afford to travel. If you believe like I do that we must end out of control government spending and return to our Constitutional principles, please help me travel to speak out with your generous gift of $500, $250, $100, $50, or $35 today!

Paid for by Liberty PAC.
Not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee.

I got this one as well. Too bad I haven't got any more money, I really want to give as much as possible. But alas, the propane tank is near empty, and there's still a month or two of chilly weather left.

I'm suspicious. I don't think Ron would ever ask for a plane, lol.

It takes you to his site... to me, it sounds like if he needs a plane, he's planning some serious campaigning. Probably more than last time. This is his chance, he knows it, we know it, and it's time to go ALL OUT!

Maybe he is asking for a plane first, so we won't get him a blimp.....

Think of it this way: if he gets a private plane he won't have go have his junk touched by the T.hugs S.tanding A.round

Hmmmmm......I don't see anything on the Liberty PAC site about this. And this seems a bit strange:

Paid for by Liberty PAC.
Not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee.

How could a letter from Ron Paul not be authorized by him? I need some more confirmation from the man himself that this is legit before I pull out the debit card.

The Liberty PAC site says it's to fund Dr. Paul's political activities- while he's not in an official campaign, I guess.

I'll donate a token amount- someone suggested $20.12- but I'm waiting for the creation of an exploratory committee before donating significant money.

Because Ron isn't a candidate, YET.

We are in a new era. He wouldn't be able to have a PAC and an exploratory committee at the same time because of federal regulations. PACs are the first step.

Ron Paul's official Facebook mentions the LibertyPAC Moneybomb. I think that should be a clear sign that its legit and where funds should currently go.

Come on, guys, how did he get all of our email addresses if it isn't Ron? And RON sent the email saying he was retooling the Pac.

One thought I have is that he isn't overly enthusiastic about the process of running and doesn't want to do it if the money really isn't there to let him do what is worth while. Also, at MY age, much less at his age, one of the big drawbacks about campaigning would be the constant travel. AND he said he has metal knees so everytime he travels through the porn scanners he has no choice but go through the opt out. I drive whereever possible at this point. If you went through that every time you flew, how much would you really not look forward to a process that includes a whole lot more of that, given his greater need to be on the Hill for committee meetings as well as votes?

We may or may not get him the money, we'll have to see. But this may bear quite a bit on whether he runs, imho.
