UGH!

Where to start?!!?? :confused::confused::confused:

1- too few water outlets
2- too few bathrooms
3- stupid layout making navigation and orientation difficult.
4- $35/day parking
5- NO CELL PHONE SERVICE
6- too few trash cans (maybe for security purposes?)
7- no sunlight, felt like I was living a cave (seeing the sunset for the first time in almost a week changed my entire mood)
8- inaccurate signage
9- inadequate capacity

All of these points just made for exceptional frustration, agitation, and irritation the entire weekend.

Maybe I'm just spoiled having grown up in Orlando with very modern resorts and massive convention / expo space that is all laid out nicely with wide open space that is easy to navigate. But the Marriot in DC that CPAC used this year really SUCKED!!!!

Does anyone else feel the same way?

The hotel that the CFL put us up in (Omni Shoreham) was nice but of course we didn't spend much time over there.

For a Mises Institute trip in Auburn, our hotel had a heart shaped hot tub in one of the rooms. When we go back, we're requesting it.

Is that 'CPAC hotel' the one with or without the bedbugs? Wonkette was waxing lyrical about bedbugs.

it was horrible layout. But please remember this is the center of town practically, so large wide-open areas would be very expensive real estate. But i was expecting more, and supposedly this is the largest around.

send them an email or let them know somehow. i am sure they are always looking to make it better.

Although I agree with all of your points, I think there is no benefit to whining about them.

I know I was constantly walking in circles trying to find my way around. I agree the layout was confusing.

2- too few bathrooms
8- inaccurate signage

I agree with those two combined...

There was a sign pointing to a bathroom somewhere near the main lobby but I definitely could never find it. I wandered up to the next floor and found it hidden in a far corner.

I think CPAC has outgrown the hotel and needs to relocate.
