I could tell by the spelling of "favourite" that this wasn't a US MSM piece. (Also the non-dismissive headline.)

While the party may have been jolted internally by the very conservative Tea Party activists, who made gains in mid-term elections last year, their candidate Michele Bachmann only earned 4 per cent.
