Interesting, so there were actually LESS students and LESS people under 25 this time than last time, although the numbers weren't that far off.

Also interesting, since they didn't announce who the write in 'others' were, we have no idea how many votes Rand got.

My most important goal is to promote individual freedom by
reducing the size and scope of
government and its intrusion into
the lives of its citizens.

Quite telling. Why did they include the War in Iraq and not the War in Afghanistan on the issues survey? Is the Afghan War generally accepted as part of the War on Terrorism while Iraq isn't any longer?

The Republican Party is stuck. They have to be realizing that younger conservatives don't care if some stupid hippie wants to smoke weed in their basement, or if homosexuals want to get it on. So the question is how to stay relevant with the current core of Republican voters, and the newer younger more libertarian oriented conservatives. Elections are won on the votes of the former, the future of the party rests in the hands of the latter.

Guess they are too stupid to realize that a Federalist and states rights platform allows the party to stay relevant at the Federal level far into the future, leaving the battles within the party to be fought at the state level.
