CNN or MSNBC cover it?

We need to drudge bomb to get his main headline.

I wanted to hear the boos ensue so I could clutch my pearls, lecture and demand an apology from Mandate Mitt Romneycare for the rude supporters that he bussed in to slam the straw poll at the last minute. ;)

It's underneath the main headline, but at least it's in red.

The Fox coverage is worse than demeaning.

"The Texas congressman, known for his libertarian views, ran for president in 2008 but was never a serious contender for the GOP nomination." "Paul's consecutive victories in the straw poll have frustrated many GOP faithful who would rather see a more credible contender win. A CPAC official told Fox News that the big story is not Paul winning again but rather the strength of Romney's second-place finish."

Haha, ridiculous.

Someone on twitter is saying the YAF poor sports are 'firing' Ron from some advisory position and using this moment to do it. YAF is a competitor in a sense to YAL, Ron probably forgot he was even on their board.

WT:collins:?

This all seems really familiar...

But really, the strength of a second-place finish? Good grief.

Still, an opportunity to share an obviously biased report with Paul supporters who do not yet know they are Paul supporters. Looks like the lemonade factory has to add another shift -again.:)

Don't watch Fox, read the Washington Times. They are at least ordinary / neutral about it, and deserve clicks. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/feb/12/rep-ron-paul-captures-cpac-straw-poll/

I just sent this to Drudge:

About the Ron Paul win, there is a more neutral story at the Washington Times.

The Fox story is really biased against Paul.

May the FAUX NEWS / NEWSCRAP marginalization and censoring commence!

Since everyone knew Ron Paul was going to win, then FOX NEWS decided not to cover the LIVE results.

Man, if this doesn't give you a swift kick in the pants to the fascist/corporatist state and their propaganda machines, nothing will.

I posted like four times in the comments section of the site to argue with people. Not sure how much it accomplished, but I hope I actually provided some insight, lol.

Here was one of my favorite comments disparaging libertarianism:

[...]1. I don't believe it will work. It is an idealistic philosophy, like Marxism. Like Marxists, Libertarians believe that government is the source of all evil. When the Government just shrivels away, the natural goodness of humanity will come out and we will all live peacefully and happily together. Unlike Marx, Libertarians believe those who have the greatest merit will make the most money. Everyone will get exactly what he deserves. I think this is nuts. It has never happened in human history and it is completely contrary to human nature. It ignores the global market and global corporations that the US is totally dependent upon for oil, food, clothing, electronic equipment, and many other necessities.

2. I would not want to live in a Libertarian society. It would be a grim, Orwellian nightmare in which our lives would be controlled by the corporations we work for. There would be no safety net, no social security, no Medicare, no unemployment compensation, no regulations on corporate behavior. Ladies, if your boss decided that he would like to feel you in a very intimate way while you were leaning over the copy machine, you would just have to smile and say, "Oh you are such a rascal!" There would be no government agency to take your complaint and no laws against his behavior. Men, if the rigging you are working on falls and you break your back, becoming a paraplegic, your employer would simply fire you. There would be no workman's comp, no disability, no social security, and no free wheelchair from Medicare. And neither of you could sue your employer because Libertarian's don't like "frivolous" lawsuits, which is defined as a suit filed by a middle class plaintiff against an upper class defendant

I saw a segment on Faux news where they eluded to announcing the CPAC straw poll results when they come back from commercial. They came back, talked more about CPAC results and then said something to the effect of "so here are our Fox News poll results, 1st place Mitt Romney...blah blah..." and they went on to announce the percentage of support in their own rigged poll and then never mentioned the CPAC results and of course Ron Paul was not even on the Fox News poll. Here we go again...

Which is another way of saying David Keene doesn't like us very much. But he's on his way out.
