FOX NEWS INSIDER: “Stuff Is Just Made Up”

Asked what most viewers and observers of Fox News would be surprised to learn about the controversial cable channel, a former insider from the world of Rupert Murdoch was quick with a response: “I don’t think people would believe it’s as concocted as it is; that stuff is just made up.”

Indeed, a former Fox News employee who recently agreed to talk with Media Matters confirmed what critics have been saying for years about Murdoch’s cable channel. Namely, that Fox News is run as a purely partisan operation, virtually every news story is actively spun by the staff, its primary goal is to prop up Republicans and knock down Democrats, and that staffers at Fox News routinely operate without the slightest regard for fairness or fact checking.

“It is their M.O. to undermine the administration and to undermine Democrats,” says the source. “They’re a propaganda outfit but they call themselves news.”

They are all Propaganda. Keep your filters installed.

And step away and rinse your filters from time to time.

The article would have more impact if it were attributed to a named source.

There's no doubt about it, but pete is right, they're all propaganda.

Back when Bush II was the puppet, he could take a piss and it would be a "breaking news" story on Fox. They'd have interviews with Laura Bush, and ALWAYS refer to her as "the first lady".

Now that Obama is the puppet, there are no breaking news stories about him. Whenever the first lady is mentioned, they ALWAYS refer to her as "Michelle Obama" and never refer to her as "the first lady".

Its a bunch of baloney any way you cut it.

They'd probably get sued... who knows what kinda "Non-Disclosure" agreement the employee signed.

Yeap, all US Main Stream Media is pure bias partisan propaganda.

Cody Willard was the best independent and liberty outspoken FOX TV employee(covered the Tax Day Tea Party, Boston harbor 2009)... Roger Ailes/Rupert Murdoch quickly put an end to his career last year.

Fox News is propaganda, just like Media Matters is.

Its funny to see one propaganda institution call out another propaganda institution, all the while pretending as if they are some sort of clean and unbiased journalistic institutions.

Years ago I spoke with a Ruskie who had defected from behind the Iron Curtain. She said the difference between the average Russian and the average American was that the Russians KNEW their media was propaganda. Incredibly interesting person to talk to.
