Guys, I know this may look bad, but I'm tellin ya, I guarantee the media is already calculating their risks of exposing this video to the nation. If the sheep see Trumps elitist fucking face when he says this and they circulate widely, it could very well back fire on them. I'm not saying this was a cool thing to do, but I am saying the MSM may not even tough due to Trump being seen as elitist and as Ron's supporters have said for years that the powers that be are against him. I'm betting right now this will have minimal impact because the MSM will not circulate this very widely. If so, imo, we'll come out of this in great shape!

Also, remember that Student's for Liberty (the Kochs version of YAL) is essentially pushing GJohnson. Might some of this come from them, who didn't get Ron's request, or didn't care about Ron?

Also, did anyone tube Rand? I'm going to need to watch it tonight.

Yeah his popularity might go up. But not among the Republican base. I don't have any issues with people booing Donald Trump, Dick Cheney, or Rumsfield. Under different circumstances I would applaud it. I do have a problem with it when it is in direct contrast to the wishes of the man they claim to represent, and when it could negatively affect that man's ability to get elected President.

Donald Trump makes a surprise appearance at CPAC to say he hasn't ruled out seeking the Republican nomination. Trump won cheers from the conservative crowd until he said Rep. Ron Paul had no chance of getting elected. Then the catcalls started.
...
For much of his appearance on the first day of the Conservative Political Action Conference, Trump had the crowd eating out his hand until he hit a tripwire, telling them that Rep. Ron Paul, the libertarian from Texas, had no chance of getting elected. The cheers then turned to catcalls.

"I like Ron Paul, but he has no chance of getting elected," Trump said. Paul won the presidential straw poll at CPAC last year.

Leave it to CBS. Here's the Headline "Donald Trump: Ron Paul Can't Win"

Businessman and television personality Donald Trump says that America needs a winner to run against President Obama in the next election - and libertarian icon Ron Paul isn't it.

"Ron Paul cannot get elected, I'm sorry," Trump said to a rowdy audience at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C. today.

Leave it to CBS. Here's the Headline "Donald Trump: Ron Paul Can't Win"

Wow... it goes on...

"The remark elicited a huge commotion from the crowd, which was packed with young fans of the Texas Republican, who made a splash in the 2008 Republican primary by gaining the fervent support of libertarians but ultimately won minimal support. Paul's political action committee put together an extensive campaign to bring his young supporters to this week's conference, which is considered a platform of sorts for potential presidential contenders."

Here we go. Big time spin from Time. Plays up Trump, laughs at Ron, tries to make it out like all of the "young people" back Trump and don't like Ron...

On Day One Of CPAC, Donald Trump Steals The Show

Newt Gingrich talked policies, and the crowd seemed to like it. Rick Santorum announced that "America belongs to God," and he was politely applauded. But it was Donald Trump, a real estate investor who became a reality show star, who finally got the crowd's 2012 election juices going on the first day of the Conservative Political Action Committee conference. And it sure sounded like the Donald was running for president.
...
The conservative crowd, heavily populated by college students in ill-fitting suits, ate it up, standing and cheering at several points during the speech. One of Trump's biggest cheers came when Trump responded to some Libertarian hoots from the crowd, "By the way, Ron Paul cannot get elected. I'm sorry."

CPAC to Trump: You're hired!

By MAGGIE HABERMAN | 2/10/11 4:46 PM EST

If CPAC is a primary for self-confidence, Donald Trump won hands down.

The real-estate mogul with a genius for self-promotion gave the most-acclaimed — and most colorful — speech at the conservative gathering this afternoon, from the moment he took the stage to the song "Money, Money, Money."

With no visible sense of irony, he slammed libertarian Ron Paul as a losing hopeful who can't capture the brass ring and got booed by some for it, said our current president came 'out of nowhere," and quoted a business magazine's story about what a terrific entrepreneur he himself is.

Yet he was by far the best-received speaker and the audience lapped up his act, as he read some of a prepared speech and used his hands to punctuate his words. He also hit on social issues "briefly," as he said, saying he's pro-life and anti-gun control. He said he'd dismantle Obama's health care law.

The ballroom attendance bulked up massively in advance of his speech, with conference staffers pleading with people to stop blocking the stairwells and doors.

"You're hired!" a fan screamed from the crowd, and he pointed back at her and said, "You're hired! These are my people. This is beautiful."

I love the people on here telling peopleto shit down and shut up. The folks that paid good money to go to Cpac should NOT do that. I certainly would not be quite while Rumsfeld was speaking. And this, in no way, hurts Ron's chances in 12. Let them be wild and crazy, so far the only interesting thing to come out of Cpac on day 1, was Ron Paul supporters. Good job guys!
Yeah, can't ruin someone's fun but I do understand Ron and his respectful ideals. I know Ron gets energized when he's around many of the crowds at college campuses but he knows better than anyone how electrifying it can be to be amongst many RP supporters and the wild tendencies that tend to surface. Young folk don't have that bright looking of a future and they're looking to take it out (non-violently) on those that want to screw them over. That said, four of my friends that attended were all 30s and above and they just called and said they were part of the heckling and would do it again if given the chance. I told them about Ron's call for respect and they just said they couldn't allow the Cheneys/Rummies/Trumps to get away unscathed. Emotions run high at events like this and sometimes words come first and thoughts come later. Just sayin. What's gonna happen is what's gonna happen and a combo of respect and boldness will further the cause imo.

Did it cross your mind that some of us talking paid good money for others to go to CPAC? Being "quiet" was Ron Paul's request. Remember Ron Paul? He's the guy that people were supposedly braving the TSA, blizzards, and DC traffic to go vote for. I didn't realize the added bonus was that you got to boo all the GOP folks you hated. I like how you throw in that this won't hurt anything in 2012.

You can be wild and crazy in support of people without booing your "enemies."

It's done, though; I'm sure lots of folks are super proud of themselves.

So I think everybody should get their panties out of a bunch and the stick out their ***** because even Rand was thinking about sticking them a jab.

Yeah but he ultimately decided against it. What if Trump really DOES get elected President or another position of power and Rand Paul starts influencing him on certain issues. Isn't that worth more than taking a shot at him during stupid Cpac? Ron Paul already basically convinced him that the Fed was bad. May be he could've convinced him on a few other issues. But now Trump is angered at Paul's supporters and our movement.

I don't like Trump either. But you know the guy has never been elected to office, he didn't mention Ron in anyway as the heckling initially began. Yeah it was very unprofessional for him to ADDRESS the heckling and get the crowd riled up, but still we should've known better. It's too risky, now the media could use this moment to discredit Ron Paul.

I have a nagging feeling that I've expressed before that a number of Ron Paul supporters want to be fringe so they can complain how bad everything is and feel superior to everyone else who is a "dumb sheeple".

There's a difference between what you want to do and what is a good strategic move. Everything I have seen posted is the former.

That's the point I've been trying to make. Some are actually not comfortable winning. They don't want our ideas to be popular, because they won't have anything to complain about.

I'm sure there is some of that, and some people who are just naturally boisterous, like that friend you have cause he's a good guy but you just can't go in public cause they always make a scene... I have a feeling a lot of those guys are in out camps, and since we're all for non-agreesion, non of us have intevened and kicked them out.

Goes to show, we are truly accepting, except all the people complaining about the people complaining about how others arn't complaining

So howcome the Ron Paul supporters were acting like fucking maniacs in the audience while Trump was speaking?? We were warned before hand specifically not to do this. I walked in on the middle of the speech, did Trump provoke this attack by verbally attacking Ron Paul?

Because it's always been this way. Dick Cheney was called a war criminal.... and paul supporters were vocal....

by "it's always been this way" I mean....ITS ALWAYS BEEN THIS WAY...

Trump is horrifying and a bully.

You hit that on the head. Trump is a bully. Hannity is a bully. So is Giuliani. Romney is a polite bully.

Unfortunately, it is obvious what these guys really mean when they denigrate Ron Paul.

"I like some of his ideas, but..."

If Trump likes Ron Paul like he said they should team to make a killer team.
Trump/Paul 2012 would be unbeatable!
