We haven't had a ton of good news for Mitt Romney in our 2012 Republican polling to date so far this year but he gets some in California. He leads there with 22% to 18% for Newt Gingrich, 16% for Sarah Palin, 15% for Mike Huckabee, 10% for Ron Paul, 3% for Tim Pawlenty, 2% for Mitch Daniels, and 1% for John Thune.

Well, duh, and they didn't even call me.

Another really nice point about this is California pro rates its electoral votes by district in the primaries so if our guys dominate a DISTRICT there can be some electoral votes even if they don't take the whole state.

This is unfortunately unlikely to be my personal district. I may put my canvassing efforts into more friendly climes, so to speak.

No, they call him the 'top of the bottom tier' routinely. Even when he is much closer to the top tier candidates than to the bottom tier candidates. I'll get a chart from WaPo and show you what I mean.

Again, this is because California is the most libertarian state in the nation, despite having the most socialist government. I've lived here my whole life and traveled a lot, and there are far more entrepreneurs in CA than anywhere else I've been, which means more libertarians (small-l), many who do not vote. It's so expensive to live here that you have to bust your ass to make things happen. Most people who love government do not want to have to work hard.

CA>NH any day for me.

California is a state that awards delegates on a per congressional district basis. We should strategize around that fact and pick CDs he can win to focus on.

There is a big internet presence in California. As for libertarian, there is a big strain of it, but many other strains as well.

In every single state he's within the margin of error of 10%.

There's still Ron Paul bumper stickers here on the cars. He's popular. This doesn't surprise me a bit
