I helped on his campaign in Utah before moving. I am very disappointed, and upset over this vote.

Maybe he'll change his vote when it comes up again if he gets enough complaints.

How can this bill only be 1.5 pages long? I thought the Patriot Act was about 320 pages long?

It only extends the sunset duration of certain powers.

It just lists that it is extending the two named acts the Patriot Act has been split into. The acts themselves are longer, of course.

Well, he is semi expected to challenge Hatch for his Senate seat. This vote was really shooting himself in the foot - even if he changes his vote the next time it comes up. it is just going to show he is unprincipled.

Highly doubt he will get my vote in the primary against Hatch based on this vote.

Does Mubarick have a Patriot Act? If so then Joe Lieberman will be in favor of us having one as well.

Obama just told them to get rid of their 30 year old emergency law, then turned around and told the House to extend OUR 10 year old emergency law....

It would be funny if Hatch votes against the Patriot Act to appeal to the tea party activists.

I doubt it, he's the biggest police state Republican in the Senate. I've hated him since the day he came out on the side of the FBI agents who murdered Vicki Weaver in Idaho.

Tea Party Express is running the Town Hall that Harch apparently has crashed. Now the TPE says he's welcome... the problem is the TPE is a NEOCON money
laundered organization. Their Fascist hacks constantly push the control/war/safety/security/israel first issues. A propaganda machine, count on the 30 year careerist US Senator to
be right in line with the establishment control vote.

That's because Chaffetz has been sucking up to Ron Paul supporters.

He needs to be primaried and sent home.
