A household name? Seriously? I can't see how anyone could think this right now... I'm interested though... what makes you think he's a household name? And if this *is* the case, then we're in trouble because he's not registering very high in the polls.

I helped hand out 1500 slimjims with my meetup group recently, and I would say only like 10-15% of the people knew who he was fairly well. Thompson on the other hand had a presence at the festival, and I would have to give him about 30-35% for people knowing who he was. But the area is favoring Thompson right now anyway. Hopefully we helped to change that, and I feel like from the responses of people that we did.

Giuliani vs. Paul

Total Money Raised
Giuliani - $47,253,521
Paul - $8,268,453

No. of $2,300+
Contributors
Giuliani - 9,537
Paul - 619

% from Donors
of $2,300+
this is important, shows who are getting the "rich" vote
Giuliani - 61%
Paul - 18%

No. of $200+
Contributors
Giuliani - 26,333
Paul - 5,176

% from Donors
of $200 or less
Giuliani - 11%
Paul - 49%

all this said, we need to at least triple our number of 200+ donors. like I said in a previous post, around 70% of those polled (Gallup) have not HEARD OF Ron Paul. We're running out of time, so we need to get moving on this.

Just spoke with my uncle from Hershey Penn... who is a Doctor and is usually pretty well informed..

unfortunately, he had no idea who Ron Paul was - never had heard of him.

That being said, he definitely knows about Paul now =)

I make a point and ask total strangers all the time if they have heard of Ron Paul.

None of them have so far.

WE need more signs like this --- this sign was put up today.

Everyone new that I meet does not know about him so he's still relatively unknown. One positive thing is that at least all of them were not going to vote in the primary before so I would guess a majority of those who do not know about him, are not going to show up at the voting booth to take away from Ron's candidacy.

Next time you are at a resturant, see if ANYONE can name 5 people running for President. I bet only 1 or 2 can, and then I bet that none of them mention RPs name.

WE MUST CHANGE THIS... SEE HERE TO KNOW HOW:

If it makes anyone feel any better, I have a friend who follows politics fairly closely who never heard of Fred Thompson. And I bet there are many other average Joes who never heard of Romney, McCain, or Huckleberry, either.

Heck, haven't you heard those man on the street interviews where ordinary Joes don't even know who the Vice President is??

Just keep telling them who Ron is, then Ron will have one up on everybody else.

P.S. I'm convinced the only reason Rudy is the "frontrunner" is....I hate to say it...because he was THERE on 9/11.
