Why do environmental activists usually fail to understand that big govt. is the problem & not the solution...?

Asking why environmentalists fail to understand that big government is the problem is like asking why socialists fail to understand that big government is the problem.

But I repeat myself...

they think the government can use its force to make corporations that are a big part of the problem follow rules to make the world healthier for us all. they fail to realize that those corporations are so intricately intertwined with the government that they are basically one in the same. they will never attack each other.

It is a kind of intellectual laziness. Instead of doing the analysis needed to get to the root of the problem (which is usually government) and apply the remedy there, they look at the superficial symptoms of the problem and command government to go pistol-whip people into compliance with some rule that rarely addresses the real issue. But it is simple and easy.
