O'Reilly feigned some disagreement and jabbed a few wisecracks. Which gave Barrack the opportunity to give a 'silly O'Reilly and his right wing extremist listeners' shrug.

A truly golden 'spin' moment was when O'Reilly asked about those who say his health care plans are socialist.

He said, hey - instead of people not paying their hospital bills and making everyone else pay for it, make them take responsibility and get healthcare. SO EVERYONE ELSE WON'T HAVE TO PAY FOR IT.

That Barry sure is a good bullshitter. Have you ever seen a more premeditated head bobbing and hand movement pattern? I see why he was the elite choice.

If the youtube shows up I'd like to hear some of ya'all analyze it. There's some quintissential propaganda/softball journalism/false dichotomy/spin doctor going on in this one.

Anybody see it?

I can stand to watch Bill O'Reilly if he is interviewing someone I like.

I can stand to watch Barack Obama if he is being interviewed by someone I like.

But I don't know if I should try to watch this, because it doesn't meet any of the above criteria.

Yeah, tell me about it. I can't think of a man I dislike more interviewing a man I equally dislike.

Later in the coverage the commissioner of the NFL Roger Goodell came on with Colin Powell to read the Declaration of Independence.

Then at the halftime show the blackeyed peas change their most anti-war lyric to an Obama advertisement. something like 'tell obama get these kids educated so we can keep the country stimulated.'

I do a google realtime search and there are only two results: both people who 'sure hope the blackeyed peas change their lyrics to reflect an updated new era in 2011'. Image management consulting? Political ghostwriting?

Are you shitting me? Did this actually happen?

Yes.

I googled, the original lyrics seem to be:

Overseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin'
In the USA, the big CIA fightin'
The Bloods and The Crips and the KKK
But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And when you hate then you're bound to get irate, yeah
Madness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how anger works and operates
Man, you gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love, y'all, y'all

but they were changed to something like what I wrote above about stimulating the economy.

Leftie calls for "peace", "love", etc are simply red herrings.

Heck, the entire anti-war movement on the left from 2002-2008 was a false flag. Just a pseudo war, the real battle of the anti-war left was for political power.

The BEP changing lyrics is just a fart in a tornado of hypocrisy.

Yeah, some people at the party I went to knew the song well and were singing along with it... until that point. Nothing on terrorism, CIA, etc, just stimulous.

Ah, the 'anti-war' left, who upon getting their 'Messiah' elected support all of his war mongering, and if it is talked about at all, dismiss the anti-war arguments they once held onto not that long ago. It appears the left's more pressing concerns is socializing our entire economy and making LGBT a superior classed citizen with more rights than others. Where is the outcry on the renewal of the Patriot Act? TSA? Not a fucking peep. The left, just like the 'New Left' of the 60s gives nice rhetorical speeches on civil liberties, because they do resonate, but they do not believe in them. The left's modus operandi has always been socialism, and socialism will always be antithetical to liberty.

Caveat Emptor: Gleen Greenwald is a notch above the rest. So are a few others. If only the mainstream left were like Roderick Long or Kevin Carson, then perhaps I might find myself being more supportive.

Anyone care to speculate on what "bad things" Mubarak knows about the US?
