I have seen a lot of articles talking about security at the Super Bowl and most of them mention that the NFL is spending about $6 million on security. None of them mention how much the federal government spends on security for this one event but I found this article which boasts of more than 60 government agencies that will be involved in providing security.

Does anyone have a source which can give an estimate of how much the taxpayers spend to provide security for one event held by a private corporation?

The NFL, meanwhile, spends about $6 million a year on the Super Bowl security effort on top of what local and federal government spends. The league has hired more than 1,200 employees from private security companies to augment support from military and law enforcement. More than 60 government agencies contribute to the Super Bowl effort.
