“We’re disappointed to learn that despite 32 years of experience with televising its sessions and in an age of ubiquitous cameras in political life, the House of Representatives has chosen not to allow C-SPAN’s cameras into its chamber to cover its sessions. We continue to feel that the public is best served by seeing a more complete picture of the legislative process than what’s delivered by Congressionally-controlled cameras and will continue to work with Speaker Boehner and other leaders in the House in hope of one day gaining access on behalf of the media.”That fucking cocksucker! Your days as Speaker are numbered, Boehner, and I hope to Ogg you have to resign in disgrace! I never thought Boehner could possibly be worse than that cunt Pelosi, but apparently I was wrong.

So, essentially it will remain as it was? They aren't failing to, say, cover the subcommittee on domestic monetary policy? They just don't want MORE cameras showing that most of the few in the room are on blackberries, etc?

Wait does CSPAN have its own cameras in there now? Or do they use the Congress video?

According to the link, they use the congress's cameras, which is probably why the whole thing is so stiff.

I will not vote republican ever again.

Most liberty candidates are running under the Republican ticket.

I first thought they currently have their own cameras and Boehner is kicking them out. So not as bad as I thought, but still...

Well, but there is a privacy issue. If you were there would you want to have to pretend to be attentive to dimwits so you look good to those back home? Or would you want to take the time while you are waiting to speak to balance your checkbook? Does it matter?

I'm not sure exactly what more they wanted to show.

So status quo continuing on this is a problem? Not sure I see the cause of the outrage...

How empty the chamber is sometimes when some are speaking and during "debates". Representatives reactions to arguments, amendments being introduced, etc. The strong arming of members when votes are being held open. Stuff like that.
