TSA already has plans for taking its face-scanning program high-tech. It's sunk $20 million into developing Future Attribute Screening Technology, a computerized version of the behavior-observation system that will use cameras to scan travelers' expressions and match them with a digital database of microexpressions.

We should all start making faces at the airport to confuse this new supersmart system. Give 'em some macroexpressions. :)

Another link in the chain...

Another brick in the wall...

When the full surveillance grid goes operational, and all the databases are linked, you will be a slave, not metaphorically, but quite literally.

No thought, no move no action, no word, nothing you do will be outside the realm of total surveillance.

And you will self censor and conform yourself to that reality.

The state won't have to lift a finger.

That's a scary thought.

A completely plausible, scary as hell thought.

For the flights where security scans are worth the trouble, I would rather they ask me a few basic questions than send me thru a pornoscanner.
