about 15 minutes. Pretty good, but the interviewer was taking up far too much space and Rand was pasted to the wall away from the guy, looked a bit awkward.

I put this in general forums too, but thought maybe there should be one here? Mods can take it down if not....

I really enjoyed that and I appreciate you putting stuff in the Rand Paul forum since I usually check it more often than General. Had a good hearty chuckle at Rand's parting comment: "Hopefully I didn't say anything that'll hurt me too bad heh heh heh" :D

ABC better advise Dramamine next time half hour before the ride.

The ad I was played before this video ironically enough was Goldman Sachs....

What subway were they on?

Looked like the Capitol subway (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Capitol_subway_system) to me.

Its funny watching the media trying to figure out his angle. They aren't accustom to a politician who just tells them. Yes he actually wants to cut the budget, yes that is more important to him than a political party.

I don't think I've ever heard someone sound so honest and presidential.

Will resist reading too much into Rand answering the question on whether he will run for President, "...ask me in a few months..."

LOL, I caught that too. It would make an attention-grabbing headline. :)

Wow... an unbelievable waste of money.

Not really. They already had the tunnels. Because people worked in office buildings and the Capital, both and had to get back and forth quickly, in snow etc. I interned there. They have stores and stuff in the tunnels selling US capital type stuff, engraved pens etc.

I'm more and more impressed with Rand every day. There's no doubt he's the future of the R3volution.

I think the looming interviewer who kept creeping into Rand's space has space issues.

Why is he a stalker?

It was a joke. When I first saw the picture, before I saw the video I didn't know if they'd pounced on him when they had him sitting in one place or if they set up an interview, and I thought the idea of ABC stalking Rand in the subways was amusing. Ignore it. It was late.

interesting...Rand rides the subway

For the record, Ron has never used the metro because he is opposed to it being gov't funded

That's silly. That's like not using public roads... who does that?

True, but I think it goes beyond that. They really don't understand what he's saying. He's clear and to-the-point, but it still doesn't compute with them. In their world, it's like he's speaking a foreign language. It's the ideas and philosophy that are foreign to them. You can tell they just don't really get it.

He does mention roads there though, lol. And says he uses them.

No, this isn't the subway that's open to everyone. It's the private government built subway for Senators and their staff only that runs underneath the capitol.

This goes from office building to office building. So, he's having a nice back and forth with the reporter ; )
