This is my first post here as I usually lurk in the forum as an interested outsider . I believe if the world could vote for a president of the US they would choose Ron Paul. To allow the world a say I want to propose letting them donate to a bitcoin money bomb . Bitcoins are the currency of liberty and are truly international . They allow you to send value over the internet as easily as sending an email. I took the "liberty" of setting up a mybitcoin (http://mybitcoin.com) account and will publish the following donation address.

Bitcoins are accepted by the centre for a stateless society, the fred hayek foundation and the EFF to name a few. I wish to hand over the account to one of his representatives in future and hope they publish the donation address officially.

In Liberty.

Bitcoins can be exchanged in several ways for many different currencies.

I don't think it's legal to accept donations by the official campaign from foreigners but it sure could work for people who want to donate to a meetup group or someone similar.

Correct. The Paul campaign would also still be liable for reporting donations worth $200 or more which could get very hairy and complicated, and would probably be impossible since Bitcoin isn't capable of sending personal information with transactions as required by the FEC.

Now that Dwolla's on the scene with $.25 transactions, I think it's far preferable just to trade accumulated BTC for USD and give the USD to RP as typical. In the end, that's what the recipient's going to do anyway until BTC becomes a "serious" currency.
