They're using an anarcho-socialist flag to represent themselves now? That's quite hypocritical and self-defeating, considering they love, want to protect, and expand the influence and role of the Internet in people's lives, which has only been possible due to the market. the Internet is literally the most consistently libertarian place you'd find, anywhere.

If they were smart and wanted to be consistent, they'd be anarchocapitalists.

But then they'd need to explain "Freedom to have free access to information" as a human right. I don't think they want to realize that communication networks are services that must be built with real resources, and these are best managed by free markets. They seem to want (1) all nations provide internet, either directly or through fascistic means, and (2) for each nation to give the service to all their people "for free". IMO this represents the typical anarchosyndacilst very well: we don't need the state to do anything except this thing I really enjoy.

Well, Google does want to try rolling out free internet wireless access. I think the catch is you get their advertising with that "free" access.

Knew a guy in Canada that was getting high speed Internet for $26 a month. It was a gvmt price cap and plenty of companies were willing to sell it for that. Here, there were either one or later 2 companies "allowed" to sell high speed access and it costs between $75 and $100 a month from either of them. Funny how that works.

I'm an ancap and Im anti-IP, so with the information thing we could start there at least. But certainly those things you mentioned are problems.

Intelletual error FTL.

Not Free as in No Cost free
Free as in Unhindered, Uncensored
Free as in Freedom of Speech.
