I stumbled across this link and found it a bit disturbing. Couldn't find it posted here so I thought it was worth sharing. It seems that what we're experiencing here in the United States is very similar to what happened in Argentina just before its economic collapse in 2001. What do you guys think?

BTW, I just read a great book written by someone who was living in Argentina at the time called Surviving the Economic Collapse (http://www.amazon.com/Modern-Survival-Manual-Surviving-Economic/dp/9870563457/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1296187167&sr=1-1). One of the best survival books I've ever read. It really made me rethink a few things.

There's also a great documentary about the politics and economics of the country at the time here: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/entry.php?149-IMF-s-Austerity-on-Argentina

I haven't read his book, but Ferfal's blog (http://ferfal.blogspot.com/) has some great stuff in it. Thanks for the rec on the book. It's been a while since I first discovered his blog and I could probably stand to check the book out.

BTW, you can watch the full movie of Argentina's Economic Collapse on Google Video (not broken into parts):

Yeah, I just started reading that blog recently; it's great!

No one else has any thoughts on this? http://nowandfutures.com/us_argentina.html
