When John McCain preaches about his record, someone should remind him (and the American people), that he tried to shove an amnesty bill down our throats this summer. (It would have been perfect if Tancredo had done it). The Republicans (or the democrats for that matter) still haven't figured out why they were fired last year. It was the war, and immigration policies leading us into the North american Union. Ron Paul gets it, the American people get it, but the media and party planners still don't.

I sorta agree.... McCain was dealing in the back room with La Raza to formulate that bill that was of tremendous detriment to the american people.. and it had more holes, than swiss cheese.

Ron Paul should read up on those holes and attack McCain and ask him about the North American Union etc...

Ron Paul doesn't understand that "writing about these things" in which a few thousand people know about, is not the same as saying it in front of millions of viewers.... Ron Paul needs to start talking about Sovereignty, That Shamnesty Bill, HIS NEW LIBERTY BILL etc....

McCain is already finished. He'll be out of the race by Thanksgiving. His campaign is bankrupt. At this point he wants to raise money to settle the debt and get out even.

Why in the world would we want John McCain out of the race?

We need to split up the neo-con vote as much as possible. The more players in the end the better.

Good point. I won't mention it again.

whoa whoa whoa. why do we want McCain to do worse?

where will his voters go? to either Giuliani, Romney, Thompson or Huckabee. That's not good for Paul. We need him to do BETTER. He needs to take votes from Thompson and Giuliani.

THIS (http://www.gallup.com/poll/101692/Giuliani-Still-Top-Republicans-Prepare-Debate-Michigan.aspx) is what we need to do. Look at Paul's "never heard of him" numbers. About 72%! That's what we need to fight. Not the other pro-war nuts.

McCain needs to do better to pull votes from Giuliani. Huckabee NEEDS to do better to pull votes from Giuliani. We need the pack of Giuliani, Romney, Thompson, Huckabee and McCain to dilute each other and drop themselves down to their avg poll rating (which would be 16.8 according to the Gallup Nomination Poll or 15.6 according to http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/us/republican_presidential_nomination-192.html)

In other words, what we need Paul to do is get right around that 15-20% marker, and we need McCain and Huckabee to draw votes away from Giuliani.

Finishing McCain should be the last thing we are interested in right now. When he's gone, his votes go to Rudy.

Our job is to promote the freedom message, pure and simple.

Don't tell voters about this. He's hopeless. Keep him in the race.

I think we'd be better off without Tancredo or Hunter. They're not taking any significant number of votes, but they are taking a significant amount of face time at debates.

At this point, McCain is standing in one place and wobbling in circles, so we need a deep voice with voice distortion announcing "FINISH HIM!" and then Ron can reach into McCain's chest and pull out his beating heart.

Hey Truckinmike - some dude from Town Hall is trying to sell your tin hat on e-Bay.

Yes, McCain is actually doing better in the debates these days which means he steals more votes from the other guys. We need him in at least through Super Tuesday when we'll know our fate.
