Simply amazing how fast the courts work when keeping corruption in power despite these constitutional guidelines.

Unfortunately I am not surprised by this. It is all too clear now where the court's interests really are..

Yeah, like a mundane could ever get "justice" that fast.

Yeah saw this coming from 597 miles away... the distance between DC and Chicago

Worst thing is , this could eventually set precedent that is not good for the citizens of the country .

I think the precedent has already been set.
Have you noticed our President?

The IL supreme court hasn't heard the ruling yet. The board of elections were starting to print absentee ballots and were told to include Rahmbo's name, that's all.

However, it's easy to see where this is going. I'd be surprised if they ruled against him.

Since his win is already programmed in the machines it would look funny if he won and wasn't a candidate

I don't think this is too big of a deal, who cares if one loser is mayor or the other? Clearly this guy was from Chicago anyway. A more interesting consitutional question of this nature was Hillary becoming Secretary of State and raising her own salary as a Senator.

given that for two fast and furious years he seemed to have had a ready airbed at 1600 PENN AVE 24/7
and the apartment and/or residence in chicago as a technicality is more than a post office box, you would
have thought a very anal retentive staffer underneath him would have looked at all his paperwork when he
was toying with leaving & what to do down the road after the excitement of d.c. 'cuz chicago hath a charm!

On one hand, there is a principle this illustrates. If we think that DC should not have representation in Congress like a state does (this is my view), then DC can't really have residents in the political sense, so they should vote back in their home states and otherwise be considered residents of their "home states" as there should be no such thing as a DC "resident".
