He really lights up when taking on the Fed. THIS is what he's looking forward too. However, I think he could do the same with a presidential run. The people will get it, they understand tough times and if RP laid it out in the debates that the Fed is to blame for this mess, you would literally see lightbulbs go on over people's heads in nearly every household. Or so I believe.
