Imperva, a data security firm, first reported (http://blog.imperva.com/2011/01/major-websites-govmiledu-are-hacked-and-up-for-sale.html) on the hacker and his offerings on January 21. In a blog post, the firm said that the hacker has put on sale dot-gov, dot-mil and dot-edu websites from across the globe at a price range of $55 to $499. It also discovered that the hacker was also offering personal information from the hacked websites at $20 for 1000 records.

...put on sale the admin access to high-profile sites such as the official Italian government website (http://itcgcesaro.gov.it), the Department of Defense Pharmacoeconomic centre (http://pec.ha.osd.mil/) and even the United States Army, Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) (http://cecom.army.mil ).

Standing by for the next round of yelping from the "control the internet" crowd

Lol, now that he's announced it's for sale, what's stopping them from resetting all their login information and only sharing it with a select few.

What an idiot.

What makes you think he didn't put something in place that will notify him of the changes?
Hell, maybe he put in something that is only triggered by them resetting the info, and this bait in order to get them to reset it. just saying...

Completely logical assumption, given our government's already-blatant inability to protect data.
