Please go to drudgereport.com, scroll down to the "SEND NEWS TIPS TO DRUDGE" and send Matt the news of Ron Paul's 2nd place finish in the NH GOP straw poll.

It would probably be more effective if we all use different wording and refer to different links (there are plenty of them).

Ugh, Matt just put a link about the straw poll up at the top, but no mention of Ron!!!

Not yet. :) He sometimes puts up one headline, then others. Let's hope this is one of them. I sent it, too.

Doesn't matter. If people read it, they'll see Ron.

If they don't, they will only see Mittens.

Matt has changed the link's target a few times. Right now it's ABC.

I am absolutely giddy!!! I remember Rand saying as he went around to Lincoln dinners, that he might persuade 10% of the Establishment to support him, and combined with the average GOP voter, that would be enough. And now Ron is actually reaching that level!! We can make this happen folks - we are making it happen! :D

So, are we back on now?? Is this the type of result Ron is looking for? Maybe we showed our hands last year at CPAC and Mittens will be gunning for us, but still even a respectable second place finish in the very year the campaigning is about to start should still show a sign of strength. Especially given the fact that out of the first two straw polls Ron will have beaten EVERYONE, but Mitt I'm going to buy the fuckin nomination Romney....

Let Romney do well now.....once the debates come he'll be destroyed because of healthcare. If we try to take out Romney right away, half of his supporters will jump over to the Gingrich express and we'll have another mountain to climb.

So long as bank bailout Boehner is Speaker there still a large challenge out there. If >50% of the House membership votes for Ron Paul for speaker then there will be progress.

If we can't take mitt-for-brains at CPAC we might as well pack it in, This is where we draw the F-in line!

But Ron might. He has his committee, that he has always wanted and can use to VERY good effect. The media was absolutely brutal last time he ran for president, but he perservered and brought his ideas to a new generation and spread them far amongst the older generations. His organization was able to get Rand into the Senate along with the tea party he is widely credited with starting.

But once the GOP took the House, an edge went off the anger and willingness of some people to do the work to get things changed at least for now. Obama's poll numbers are back up, and people are waiting to see if things will get better. Once engaged, I think a lot of these people are skeptical, but will they still be turning out in large numbers, right now? Romney's folks will, they are paid to attend, from what I have read. But will the libertarian leaning grass roots and independents?

I don't know, and from Ron's interview on AJs show, he isn't sure, either. CPAC is key.

The comments look pretty good. Lot of Mitt hate and some decent Ron Paul love.

That is totally sweet! Definitely makes for a much better story than "Mitt Wins N.H.". Ron Paul is already shaping up to be a contender in the 2012 campaign. This time he can't be ignored (right?):/

Hard for Romney to say he is going to get America working when his own company shipped 10s of thousands of jobs over seas.

I don't recall him responding much to our suggestions in 2007/2008, but lately we've had a lot of good luck with him. Around November/December last year, Ron Paul made it to the Drudge Report just about every week over his T&A bill, committee chairmanship, speech on WikiLeaks, etc. T&A and WikiLeaks appear to be big issues for Matt.

Also for HR1207 and calls to audit the gold in Ft. Knox

What's that mean, "ship jobs over seas"? If we go to one of our ports and start checking shipping containers leaving the country, will we find one with a bunch of jobs in it?

He started responding to our suggestions in mid-2008, after RP had said that the campaign was, "winding down". Drudge threw us an occasional bone during the height of the campaign, but mainly for the big moneybomb events. I don't recall if the blimp ever made it to drudge.
