Just a few weeks from now the Republican Liberty Caucus will host its 2011 National Convention in Arlington, Virginia -- a celebration of 20 years of the RLC with liberty advocates from across the country.

Professor Randy Barnett will give a keynote called “Rediscovering the Libertarian Roots of the Republican Party” and Governor Gary Johnson will discuss his libertarian tenure as Governor of New Mexico from 1994 to 2003. There will be breakout sessions, training opportunities, debates, a Presidential straw poll, and exciting guest speakers.

If our people are at CPAC so Ron doesn't get only boos when he is announced, sure. RLC is pushing Gary madly and not even mentioning Ron, and is running at the same time as CPAC, where people who have a serious candidate will be. I'm sure they'll put Ron on the RLC ballot so they can say Gary had a good showing against him, but it will be reflected NOWHERE else. Gary is their keynote speaker.

Most straw polls are a sham anyway, but this one won't even be worth mentioning. No one will notice and no one will care except for a few RLC members.
