I don't agree with the Judge on the death penalty. If the government has the right to lock somebody up against their will, then they have the right to execute them. I don't see how anybody can say that the Arizona shooter doesn't deserve the death penalty.

short version: innocent people are not killed and monsters spend life in jail > a few innocent people get executed along with the monsters

i agree with the judge. if you put an innocent in jail, at least you can free him later. if you kill him, you can't fix it.

it's better to not risk putting innocents to death and having people like the Arizona shooter in jail for life over executing him at the cost of having some innocent people executed every now and then
