We polled Iowa this weekend...Ron Paul's net fav with GOP voters is better than Rudy Giuliani's there

Romney and Ron Paul tied for 4th among Iowa Republicans who consider themselves Tea Party members at 9%

The poll numbers are not on their website or blog yet so no overall numbers now.

I think Ron Paul does about as well from "tea party" voters and "non-tea party" voters.

I'll say RP gets 7% from non-tea party voters, so he gets about 8% overall.

PPP poll again? Havent we already determined them to be bogus at best?

No PPP is actually legit. Their polls in the 2010 primaries and election were very good.

Numbers are probably right, but we're a year out from the primary

PPP serves the Democrat agenda. They polled Rand at 5% ahead and he won by 12%...

Only polling in the final month counts toward accuracy, so they stop manipulating in time to preserve their good record. That said, they've typically been friendly to us in primaries - likely because they thought Rand would be a weaker candidate. Perhaps since we destroyed the Dem in that race they might change their modus operendi.

Just pointing this out. Polls are worth looking at (all polls showed Rand ahead in primary, but not as far as the actual votes put him) whereas they were deceptive in the general.

Lets play a game. You know a political party has been co-opted WHEN....

PPP's last poll of the race had Rand Paul up 15 points. Their second-to-last poll had Paul up 13.

Rand Paul won by 12%.

Actually the last polls I saw had Ron BETTER with non tea-partiers. He's not very popular with them yet, but the tea party is the main part of the republican party that can give Ron the win if Beck or Palin endorse him. (Rand's endorsement will help no matter what though)

Yes, to maintain their accuracy ratings they have to straighten up in the last month or so. My memory of the numbers was a off, but in July they claimed the race was tied (http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/PPP_Release_KY_706.pdf) to keep everyone from bailing on Conman's campaign. Living here, I can say pretty confidently they were never tied, so I have to assume polls are also used for manipulation.

Were those only tea party voters AMONGST GOP? or independents, too? Because there is a big difference.
