Report from Ron & Rand's Swearing-In

I'm in between parties at the moment so this will be short.


We got to the Capitol at noon and were ushered to a meeting room where we got to watch Rand get sworn in on CSPAN. The room was packed and there were easily 200-300 people there overflowing. Lots of people from TX and KY, supporters, friends, family, neighbors etc. The feeling was electric. Ron and Rand were in and out of the room as they had interviews and other things they had to tend to. I think it might have been one of the largest parties in the Capitol, but I can't verify that. Senator McConnell walked in and stayed for a while as did Rep Guthrie. It lasted for 5 hours, and the next one starts in a few minutes at our hotel.


I'll post some pics when I get some free time, maybe in the next few days.

Went to the second party, and it was a blast too. David Boaz, VP of Cato was there to show his support. So was James Bovard and others. Justin Amash showed up too as well as Dennis Kucinich and his wife.

I talked to his wife Elizabeth for a few minutes (she recognized me as a friend of hers on Facebook) and we discussed mostly Audit/End the Fed which she seems to very much support. I told her that she needs to get her husband to run again in 2012, but she said that wouldn't be happening ha ha ha. She was a very nice lady and doesn't care for the central banksters. Rep Kucinich was a very friendly guy too. I told them that I appreciated them being there, it was a nice gesture.

Then there was the after after party in a restaurant across the street from the Treasury which was fun to hang with many of my friends from the campaign and CFL. Then there was the after after after party in the hotel lobby.


I'm exhausted and I have to be up early for my flight back to Orlando so I'll post more, including pictures, when I get some more time.
