Both Ron and Rand appeared on ABC this morning from Capitol Hill and gave a decent interview on ABC. It was mostly about the debt ceiling.

Anyone else catch this?

Actually, giving them ratings when the Pauls are on is a good thing. I'm sure thats why most of the MSM puts up with the Pauls to begin with... they get a huge spike in ratings when they appear.

I think Ron Paul has a noticeable effect on ratings. Last night Colbert had a 10 minute introduction piece and let's not forget Freedom Watch was built around Ron Paul.

Can't wait for the tubes of another great interview of the two of them together. Did they mention Obama being against raising the debt ceiling in 2006?

Rand did.

hehe. Awesome!

I posted the link, but here's Obama's earlier thoughts on the matter:

Here are Obama’s thoughts on the debt limit in 2006, when he voted against increasing the ceiling:

The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.

In 2007 and in 2008, when the Senate voted to increase the limit by $850 billion and $800 billion respectively, Obama did not bother to vote. (He did vote for TARP, which increased the debt limit by $700 billion.)

Rand pwns:

Stephanopolous: ...the country actually goes into default, do you find that acceptable?
Rand: Well, the interesting thing is, you know, President Obama in 2006 voted against raising the debt ceiling. He said our leaders were being irresponsible...

George was acting like it was outrageous not to raise the debt ceiling and that it was going to be the end of the world if they didn't. It was great to see both Pauls not concede one inch of the argument and argue strongly for their positions.

They must not have gotten anything done today. They must have had to stop every :30 to do an interview. Cavuto, Stephanopolous, John King.
