With all the talk about feel-good fundraising goals tied to dates in the future, it's easy to forget the campaign's official fundraising goals that require donation in the present, because while the media will harass us over any failure to meet a fundraising goal, the harassment will be doubly justified it the goal that goes unmet is one set by the official campaign.
Right now Ron Paul needs $200,000 donated in the next 24 hours in order to meet his $430,000 goal for radio advertising. Based on the current rate of donations he will not meet that goal, and that is bad.
So while it's nice to hold your money for 11/5 or whatever, Ron Paul needs it in the next 24 hours, and it's more important that we make this goal than allow it to fail because of good feel good unofficial goal.

bump..
we really need a letter for the campaign to come out tonight or very early tomorrow... preferably one written by Paul himself. Tomorrow needs to be the best day of the month for us to make it.

We really need to meet this, even if it takes away from the big November 5 event. It's not going to look good at all, if we do not.

Agreed completely. Nov 5ers, an official fundraising goal is more important than our own goals; donate TODAY.

FYI... it looks like the donations aren't updating live on the site for some reason right now.. but the firefox extension somebody made is. I've got 1.522 million right now which means probably about 233,000 for the radio goal.

The weekends are usually slow days for donations (except for this Saturday!) With the big debate tonight, donations should be higher than average on Monday.

You guys want to know how I got the $50 to give? Well ill tell ya anyways.
I went to Bruno's last night at 1 AM to buy another keg (the first two had floated), and did not bring in an empty shell. They forgot to charge me a deposit for the shell! So that means I got a free keg shell valued at $50; Bruno's Just donated to the Ron Paul campaign! Any people think corporate contributions are illegal!!!!

i agree. i don't really agree with this november 5th nonsense (or the site, the design kind of scares me. anyone notice the blood on the left side).
we shouldn't hold all of our donations in 'bombs' we need to donate when we can, whenever we can.
