The wars goals have been met.
1. Prevent WMD
2. Oust Saddam and bathe party
3. Have free elections
4. Reenstate the Iraq Army and Police

These goals are met.
Let Iraq fight Iran and terrorists.

Spread the word. WE WON THE IRAQ WAR!!

The problem is, such a statement denies reality and is an invitation to do it again when the opportunity arises. Therefore it goes against the policy of non-interventionism which Ron Paul advocates.

IIRC, I have seen at least one time where Ron asserted that we did in fact "win the war".

The problem is the lack of a general consensus of what "win" means. Nobody can define this. Do we "win" when there are no terrorists left? If that's the case, then this truly is a perpetual war. You can't get rid of evil, no matter how hard you try.
