R. Lee Ermey thinks current administration trying to "impose socialism"

I searched to see if this has already been posted but found nothing. My apologies if it has been covered.

R. Lee Ermey from "Full Metal Jacket" fame went off at a charity even earlier this month claiming that the current administration is trying to bankrupt the country in an attempt to "impose socialism."

As far as an actor, he isn't A list, but they guy is pretty famous in some circles. He was at a local firearms dealer near here a few months back and literally thousands of people showed up. Juxtapose that with the handful that showed up to meet Gary Johnson and you see what I mean.

Anyway, what do yall think about this? I find it to be shortsighted, ill informed, and in horrible taste.

Meh, just normal republican garbage. I think he's an excellent actor and a great spokesperson for the Marine Corp, but he seems to have a one track mind when it comes to politics.

The old boy probably forgot that the previous administration was pretty heavily involved in the same kind of crap that Obama (spend spend spend spend) is and that the economy tanked years ago. At his age, the memory ain't what it used to be for some folks. Either that or he's a hard core Republican just using tried and true Republican BS.

BTW, I thought this guy was most famous for his "Mail Call" show on the Military channel.

They're not imposing socialism, they are bumbling into it in ignorance. It is the continual outcome of picking the lesser of two evils; the imagined greater evil of 'doing nothing' gives way to real and actionable evil of 'doing something, anything'. Hurry! The crisis must be met with hoards of counterfeit supermen trying not trip on their own capes.

Both parties are propelling the decent and blaming the other. Parties out of power are always 'with' the people; parties in power are constantly shredding the Constitution and violating human rights.

Political democracy is a systematic free for all of organized looting masquerading as a means to a higher civilization. As if one could steal thier way to a better more peaceful world.
