Word’s going out about two organizing efforts to build national protests against war this spring. One, a set of National Anti-War Demonstrations on March 19, aims to hold demonstrations in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington DC and “worldwide” on Saturday, March 19. This effort is being pushed by the ANSWER Coalition, which regularly connects anti-war activism to domestic economic reform and international socialist insurgencies.

On the other hand, a pair of National Anti-War Demonstrations in San Francisco and New York City on Saturday April 9 of 2011 has been announced by the United National Antiwar Committee, a group that connects its struggle to issues of the environment and economy but which maintains a stronger focus on anti-war activism.

Both groups are calling for endorsements. Are you going to either protest? Both? Neither? Which is preferable to you?
