This is a video a local musician here made. It does imply that government action should be taken, which is obviously not the answer, however, it does remind us of some of the poverty around the world and what's important, and on top of that it's just a great song.
(he also doesn't understand that sports players are being paid millions because they're the only ones who can do it the best, and millions of americans watch, while anyone can be a teacher, thus the low wage. And also, the $2/a day statistic for most of the world is slightly misleading. Most of these people don't pay others to do stuff for them, i.e. make their own food, wash clothes etc, so GDP for the country stays very low. Yes, they're in poverty, but it's not near the same as someone living in America on $2/day)
