I'm abstaining on Election Day if Paul drops at any point, whether it be by defeat in the primary or by suspending his campaign.

I've been a third-party voter in 1996, 2000, and 2004. If Paul can't make it, the hope of a third-party making any inroads has absolutely no chance (unless Paul's the one on the ticket).

Whether or not Congressman Paul wins the GOP nomination I'm going to vote for him on election day.
I agree with you ....a lot of Republicans suck.

What they're doing is sending warning shots to the Democratic Party that Hillary cannot win. New logical Democratic strategy is to not go for a Hillary nomination, then the GOP nominee will be wiped out by, say, Edwards, Obama, Kuncinich, etc.

I'm not staying home. But certainly, if Ron Paul doesn't get the nomination I don't know how I could vote Republican. I would rather have a clean conscious than vote for the neocons.

As much as I hate Hillary I'd actually like her to win if Rudy gets the nomination.

I think republicans need to learn a lesson and get their ass kicked.... have their guns taken away, have income taxes increased to 82%, and have socialism forced down their throats until they say enough is enough and demand reform that brings people back to their party.

I shiver at the thought of a Hillary presidency (and I hate the Democrats' idea of economjc policy), and I believe I will vote for Ron Paul no matter who's running on election day, but if Giuliani is against Hillary, I'm in support of President Hillary all the way rather than having that snake in the Oval Office.

He really gets me riled up. His policies are just as bad as if not worse than Hillary's (gun control, went against lower taxes, pro-illegal immigrants, many others), and his personal life (multiple affairs, telling his wife via news conference that he's divorcing her, his kids don't even talk to him) shows that he's not fit to serve as dogcatcher, let alone any higher office.

We simply must do all we can to get Dr. Paul this nomination.

There could not be the possibility of a "clear conscience" if a person voted for ANY of the statists who are running against Ron Paul.

I have already written Ron Paul in...twice.

I will stay home...probably for good, as there is not another Ron Paul anywhere on the horizon.

I agree with you ....a lot of Republicans suck.

You said a mouth full. The minute the nominee is chosen, if it's not Paul, I'll be back to the Libertarian Party to fight the good fight against Neal Boortz. Screw these warmongering statists, screw Rudy, screw Billary, and screw the entire Federal Government.

The Neo-Cons WILL go, no question. The only question is will Americans have a real choice, or a choice between two warmonger socialists with different letters next to their name.

Will we have to accept socialism to get rid of the neo-cons or will we have another option?

If he doesn't win... and I don't even like the idea of talking about contingencies because its defeatist and there is so much reason for optimism right now...

but if he doesn't with the nomnation I would not be at all suprised to see the "Revolution" keep growing into a massive movement to unite the various third parties under a Ron Paul candidacy. Whether it would succeed, or whether he would agree to it are different issues but there are a lot of people out here that would do a lot of work to make that happen.

Why is it that people think that they can only choose what the two corrupt parties lay out for them?
Whether he gets the GOP nomination, the LP nom or the CP nom, or none of the above, just write him in.

We have thousands of Ron Paul's on the horizon.

Look around you among your meetups.

Read the thousands of new pro liberty blogs.

Our hearts beat with the spirit of America and that makes us strong.

This is not a campaign, this is not a platform, it is a revolution.

national healthcare scares me to much. i fear once we create more social programs it will be impossible to remove them. people don't like to have things like that taken away.

I suppose I should "don my tinfoil hat" for saying this (according to those who want nanny government for us all that is) but, I WILL go to the polls from now until the day I die. Further, unless another candidate of Ron Paul's honesty, honor and genuine love for this country comes along, I WILL BE WRITING IN THE NAME RON PAUL from now until I die!!

Maybe you can use that to attract new Ron supporters via neighborhood canvassing. :)

That isn't really tin-foilish actually. Saying Elvis is making you do it would be, for example.

Don't you understand? There ain't a dime's worth of difference between the elite-annointed Republican candidates and Democratic candidates. They are all puppets of their masters - the military/industrial/corporate/media/intelligence agency/banking complex......

And there is the definition we should all be using, bravo. It is not a Republican or Democrat thing, it is a Statist or Liberty thing. Both parties are chock full of statists.

Which flavor statist would you like today, vanilla statist or strawberry statist?

I agree with the write-in.

If Ron Paul should not get the nomination, we should, as always, get an organized movement to write-in Ron Paul on election day just to prove a point.

My question: my precinct uses a machine. It would produce an error to make any marks on the form besides the marks necessary to vote for the candidates on the page. So, if I wrote him in, would they just throw my ballot out? I'd be interested in the legal issues regarding a write-in candidate on a machine tabulator.
