movie "The Other Guys" mentions Federal Reserve

One of the main characters thought it was the name of a prison. :rolleyes:
It was actually a pretty funny scene.

I couldn't tell whether the movie is supposed to be a socialist-type argument against the big banks and bailouts or one that is more in our liking. Maybe the rest of you can watch the movie and share your thoughts? NOT the entire movie is like this though, just certain parts and especially the ending where it starts listing off all the places that the TARP bailout money went.

But about the title of this thread, I really got the feeling that it was poking fun at the people who still don't know what the Federal Reserve is. Maybe we will see more of this in future movies? :cool:

I thought this movie was one of the funniest one in years...refreshing

If you watch the alternate ending, the main characters meet up with Dereck Jeter in disguise (inside joke from the movie) and he tells them that they havent even started to uncover the corruption in the banking industry.

tl;dr the alternate ending has a strong libertarian vibe

I thought the movie was great. It had a bunch of one liners that I couldn't stop laughing at, even long after the movie was over. "I hope you enjoy eating prison food... and penis."

I'm wary of the Fed getting 'hollywoodized' myself. The Fed will attain a mythical fairytale status. Anytime you speak truth about, some idiot will say, "Yeah like in that MOVIE 'END DA FED!".
