A few examples I came up with. All great if you're in the government business. Other examples?

Put government in charge of education, where it can teach that the free market and private charity does not work, and government is the answer. Eliminate the incentives to teach well. Spend more money and when student performance declines, use that as reason to spend more.

Provide welfare checks for single mothers, so they don’t have to have a guy around. Then they can easily have more babies so government can send out more checks. The guys no longer have reason to work, so will need more unemployment benefits, and can spend more time drinking, doing drugs, and getting in trouble, requiring more police, courts, and government healthcare.

Provide welfare and benefits to encourage immigration and then build thousands of miles of fence and build up the border patrol to fight illegals.

Subsidize farmers to produce cheap junk food. When they overproduce, pay them to not grow anything. When the junk food contributes to Americans getting overweight with more health problems, create government programs to fight obesity, and get more government money spent on rising health problems.

Send more government money to healthcare. With more money available, healthcare costs rise and fewer can afford it. So then provide everyone with healthcare. When fraud in government healthcare becomes rampant, create agencies to fight it.

Hand out more government loans and grants for education. The extra money allows colleges to raise tuition so fewer students can afford it, and then more grants are needed.

Intervene in the affairs of other countries. Bomb them and build bases in their region. When they react against us, bomb them some more, and occupy their land. When they react again, keep bombing and building bases. Eventually have 700+ bases in over 100 countries and keep issuing contracts to replace used up weapons and equipment. Start a Department of Homeland Security because our military is not defending the homeland.

Make drug use illegal to make crime go up, which requires more police and federal agents, prisons, courts, and border patrol.

Promote central economic planning by creating the central bank, the Federal Reserve. When it creates bubbles, which results in collapse and crisis, government can intervene and bailout whoever is too big to fail. If no money available, just have the Federal Reserve print it out of thin air. Extra money in circulation will eventually cause price inflation and economic difficulty which will require more of the same government intervention.

When the debt reaches unmanagable levels and bankruptcy approaches, create government commissions to study the problem and how government can fix it.

Here is one take on that. The federal government creates financial incentives for state and local governments to place American citizens in social welfare systems regardless of economic status.

1. Military industrial complex corporations such as Lockheed, Northrop, Boeing, etc own our politicians thus promote policy and therefore recieve contracts to implement social welfare systems at the state and federal level.

2. Under the guise of "welfare reform", they setup tracking of all Americans with the excuse that it will be used only for the purpose of collecting "child support' should an American citizen have a child.

3. States and counties accept federal incentives. They use funds to expand social welfare programs at the state and county level.

4. They in-turn provide financial rewards to family court judges to place individuals in the social welfare system (i.e. for the purpose of collecting revenue from child support fees and interest from monies received).

5. Trial lawyers, family courts and social welfare systems expand due to "welfare reform" laws that force government involvement in the lives of parents that divorce.

6. State revenue increases therefore other methods are used to retain individuals within the system so the state can profit from additional child support collection fees and interest. Age of majority is raised so trial lawyers, family courts, state and local government can increase revenue from federal incentives to implement this "welfare reform" for adult children.

7. Equal marriage and/or equal relationship is impossible under "welfare reform" and federal financial incentives. One partner always has the incentive to create a single parent household for profit. Thus it is self perpetuating and more people are added to social welfare systems thus increasing the government revenue in child support fees, interest from monies received and funds provided by the federal government.
