The Wisconsin number are kind of surprising considering he did fairly well in Michigan, which has similar voting patterns. Ohio seems to be on the low end of his more normal results in the high single digits to low double digits.

Think maybe Pawlenty is taking some Paul voters? They basically switched spots. Either that or it's a combination of Palin, Gingrich, and Pawlenty taking some away.

This can provide some useful information on how to target voters.

Why the heck is Palin always at the top of these?

Why the heck is Palin always at the top of these?

Because she has an enthusiastic base. The thing is that even though she is at the top of a most of these polls, she is near her max. She is a condorcet loser against everyone, assuming you discount Lyndon LaRouche, and whoever the Prohibition and Socialist/Communist parties nominate.

Yes, that would mean that Palin would lose to "Mr. Libertarian" and "Mr. Constitutionalist."

Why the heck is Palin always at the top of these?

Because she's the most popular potential Republican candidate at this point; over a year out.

Palin is popular because the media with constantly mentioning her name made her popular. It's as simple as that.

Has anyone been part of these PPP polling numbers? Associates or someone you know that has participated in their polls?

I'm wondering how they are conducting the poll and would like to see a recording/record how they perform.

Appears many are watching Huckleberry's show on FAUX.

Why the heck is Palin always at the top of these?

"When a candidate for public office faces the voters he does not face men of sense; he faces a mob of men whose chief distinguishing mark is the fact that they are quite incapable of weighing ideas, or even of comprehending any save the most elemental — men whose whole thinking is done in terms of emotion, and whose dominant emotion is dread of what they cannot understand. So confronted, the candidate must either bark with the pack or be lost... All the odds are on the man who is, intrinsically, the most devious and mediocre — the man who can most adeptly disperse the notion that his mind is a virtual vacuum. The Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."

That's why. ;P

Why the heck is Palin always at the top of these?

Because she has great name recognition. She is, after all, a well-known celebrity and reality show star.

Sigh.

Sigh.

A reality show about Ron and Rand Paul living together would solve this.

On the bright side, Ron Paul was close to ZERO four years ago. Going in to the very start of election season, he is polling at about 1/5 to 1/4 of what he needs to win. Meaning we have up to 25% of the work already done before starting.

Not only that , but this poll , without Daniels , Thune , Newt and Pawlenty , may have given Ron 30 % .

Poor numbers, we were doing better in Michigan and Minnesota.

Of these, I think Michigan is the most important, so it's good that we are strong there.

...You're figuring that support doesn't go to the front runners? That is more than a bit optimistic.

I've been called by Rasmussen, but that's it. And as we saw after the last election, Rasmussen is not reliable.

I think the media is playing the GOP for fools. In 2008, the media annointed the worst GOP candidate possible - McCain. The GOP took the bait and nominated that old loser.

The media's scam for 2012 is to annoint Palin because she cant beat Obama in the general. I cant believe how stupid these GOP primary voters are. What do they see in this woman besides a pretty face and figure? What has she ever accomplished?

No , I think much would not . Those candidates are percieved as more conservative than the front runners . People who find Daniels appealing would be Paul voters . Romney has the health care thing . Palin has not finishing term as Gov. , Huck should just keep his tv show . Newt is intelligent and a slick politician

Wisconsin is weird. We're pretty strong in Minnesota and Michigan. I guess Wisconsin hasn't got the memo yet. We have our work cut for us. The first 5-7 states matter the most.

Daniels combines the moderate image with libertarian. In fact, the first rumblings of him running were because Newt Gingrich wanted him to run. I could definitely see Daniels pulling from Romney as much, if not more so, than Paul.

Why the heck is Palin always at the top of these?

Because she's had Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and numerous other "conservative" talking heads promoting her as the savior of the Republican party for over a year.
