An excellent read on this subject is Masters of Deceit by J Edgar Hoover.

The 10 planks (in bold, my comments not in bold): Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes. Some might argue that property taxes under threat of dispossession effectively means you don't own the land, you are merely paying rent. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax. Some people think the income tax in the USA isn't heavy enough at the top, but I think it fits the bill. Abolition of all right of inheritance. We have a very destructive (to small business) inheritance tax, but it's not absolute. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels. We're not confiscating the property of emigrants (yet?), but the government isn't above freezing assets and nasty tricks as the eye of Sauron casts its gaze. Centralisation of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly. - Fed. Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State. - The MSM was basically the only game in town before the internet. Now the government is working hard to gain control over the internet. Transportation? 9/11 provided the DHS all the ammo they needed for no-fly lists which can be arbitrary and capricious. "Immigration" checkpoints in the "no constitution zone" give the State tremendous power to regulate traffic on the roads. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan. The government assumed part ownership of factory production with the auto industry bailouts, but this is one plank that the government hasn't fully embraced (yet?). Equal liability of all to labour. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture. TBTF bailouts means all taxpayers share the liability for corporate risk taking. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equitable distribution of the population over the country. I don't think we've adopted this plank (yet?). Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labour in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production. Public schools? check. Abolition of child labor? check. Combination of education with industrial production? Not really
