I came across this 25 minute round-table discussion on cablegate (http://rt.com/programs/crosstalk/crosstalk-wiki-backlash-wikileaks/) and thought it would be a good idea to share it. Introductory summary (mine):

On this edition of Peter Lavelle's CrossTalk discusses the cablegate leak, WikiLeaks and government transparency in general with his guests: founder and Executive Director of Independent Diplomat, Carne Ross and former intelligence officer for MI5, Annie Machon.

So far it's the most sane of discussions on the matter I've come across.

(Though, since both guests lean towards greater transparency in government, I realize there will be those who say that somebody from "the other side" should have participated in the discussion. That is, someone who holds the view that the leak amounts to treason, endangers national security and that secrecy is necessary for maintaining the safety of the nation.)

You can also watch the entire episode on Vimeo (http://vimeo.com/17605748).

Obligatory link to Ron Paul's related speech on the floor of the house "Lying is Not Patriotic" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxPB9yy7IJ4) (transcript (http://paul.house.gov/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1804:lying-is-not-patriotic&catid=16:speeches)), which I thoroughly enjoyed.
