Let's see what the CNBC Pump Monkeys attempt to marginalize Ron on today.

That was really good. I'm glad that RP explained he doesn't really want a gold standard, just competition.

That's not to say though that a gold-backed currency couldn't eventually overpower the US dollar if the US were to create a gold-backed currency. I agree with that move because it still provides the stability with the dollar (or at least what's left with it), and it allows us to test the waters of seeing if the gold standard would work, or at least how long it would take before it would be a viable option to replace the dollar.

Is it me or the interviewers are often looking to the side at their producers when interviewing Ron?

Be careful, someone might call you a con's piracy theorist! ;)

Ron kinda biffed on the "why do you think this bill could worsen the economy" question, but overall it was solid.

No conspiracy, just an observation. Since it doesn't happen all the time, it could be something as simple as producers often don't like the inability of Ron to stay on a narrow topic.

my comment was in jest that's why I added a wink at the end, I don't talk about the lizard people or a fake moon landing, etc., but I do consider myself a con's piracy theorists... :)

There has been some tension on the forum between con's piracy theorists and the deniers... :)

the way I look at, I was jumping on the grenade before it's even thrown... speaking in metaphors... :)

Rep. Ron Paul, (R-Texas), who will head a subcommittee overseeing the Federal Reserve in the new Congress, called central bank a “cartel” and said it had “monopoly control” over the US dollar.
