When the Tea Party, a.k.a. the Republican Party, assumes power in the House of Representatives, we will see if it makes good on its proclaimed agenda of smaller government, less spending, lower taxes, and a return to the principles of constitutional government espoused by the Founding Fathers. by Samuel Blumenfeld

Yes and No...

there is no official Party called Tea Party, however it is a movement..

The Tea Party is not in power in D.C, we are still in the Minority, although we will be trying to swing alot of the GOP back to the right.....

I hope the Tea Party opens its eyes and realizes that unless they elect someone in 2012 like Ron Paul, then the government will be no better off then it was.

There is no "Tea Party".

There is a loose confederation of some pissed, some misguided and some clear thinking, freedom loving people who have had the "Tea Party" label applied to them.

These people were instrumental in electing a large GOP majority in the US House.

Beyond that, very little will happen. On the "big issues" of war, debt, spending and loss of liberty, it will be DC business as usual.
