I think the NY Times isn't keen on his position, but since he has it....


Low Interest Rates

“Artificially low interest rates are achieved by inflating the money supply, and they penalize the thrifty and cheat those who save. They promote consumption and borrowing over savings and investing. Manipulating interest rates is an immoral act. It’s economically destructive.”

Who cares? Everytime I see him described as a Nobel prize winning economist, I want to point out in the comments that devalued as the Nobel prize is, he still didn't win it in the economics category. He won it separately, and he is an economist. But not a 'Nobel prize winning economist...'
