As Paul spoke, his friend Rep. Walter Jones Jr. walked silently next to him. The North Carolina Republican had a different experience with leadership several years ago, when he was denied a subcommittee gavel on the House Armed Services Committee because he had expressed his opposition to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Is there an article or video about that?

Sad to see Jones being denied chairmanship due to his opposition of the illegal wars in the middle east. Thank you Walter, for speaking out about the fact we need to end the wars.

I don't know. He's the only member of Congress to endorse RP in 2008, yet we all follow him very little.

Agreed. We should follow him more. WJ seems to be pretty good on most issues.
