I'm guessing it is just a cleaner RSS feed for any story containing 'Ron' + 'Paul'

That's some serious linkjuice :o

It has Ron Paul Forums as a dedicated portion of the page. That's pretty cool. "Ron Paul Forums: Campaign News"

Edit: Each "Topic" has its own authority site for news and information. For Ron Paul Forums, this is the authority site. Nice work, Josh!

This little page is actually kind of neat. It was nice of them to make that for us. You know, if more businesses did this, I bet it would catch on, I'm tellin' ya. They want our business... let them appeal to us, and thus further grow the movement by others stumbling upon such enclaves.

But does anybody use yahoo?

Yahoo has about 20% of online searches compared to Google at 65%.

Yajoo has over 280 email users.

But does anybody use yahoo?

It's the second most popular search engine with about a 15% market share (Google blows everyone else out of the water with over 70%) http://www.seoconsultants.com/search-engines/

I like how the RP news page links to the RPF thread about the RP news page. We have reached the end of the internet!

It really is amazing how Google has come to dominate the market so heavily. I guess it all comes down to them having developed a superior algorithm which produces a noticeably higher-caliber quality of results. Times sure have changed; I still remember using AltaVista on a regular basis!

Some people think that Yahoo! Mail will go the way of Excite Mail. Doubt it.

Yahoo and AOL are gonna merge in some fashion

AltaVista
Lycos
AskJeeves
Excite

god, remember Netscape!? and when Yahoo.com was only text and links?

Besides having the best algorithm, the main reason Google search has been so great is because at google.com, all there is is a search field. It is the most direct website ever. No clutter, no long loading times (by that i mean more than a millisecond). The perfect homepage.

I still liked the days of competing search engines, though. Each one had it's own weightings and you might find something one one, not found on the others.

Google is too heavily dominated by commercial and news sites. You rarely hit "amateur" web pages anymore.

What would you search for that you would want to find an "amateur" site?

Very cool, I see the link, but couldn't find a logical way to get to the link from the homepage. The only way I found was by going to the sitemap and clicking on 'topics'. What is the way a typical user would get to that page?

Yahoo! Inc. Chief Executive Officer Carol Bartz said social networking leader Facebook Inc. has emerged as a bigger rival than Google Inc., owner of the biggest Web-search engine.

“Our greatest competitor probably is Facebook, more so than Google,” Bartz said at an event sponsored by Bloomberg Businessweek in New York yesterday. “They’re a hot site, but there’s room for more than one of anything.”

Bartz said her company once weighed buying closely held Facebook for about $1 billion and that her acquisition strategy is to focus on companies that bring users, content, engineers and advertising technology. Yahoo is adding features to keep from losing Web surfers to sites such as Facebook and Twitter Inc. that make it easier to interact with friends.
