PirateBay Joins Cantona, Seeks Vendetta On PayPal As International Hacker Community Vow Revenge On Bankers (http://www.zerohedge.com/article/piratebay-joins-cantona-seeks-vendetta-paypal-international-hacker-community-vow-revenge-ban)

The reason: suddenly Assange has become the martyr saint of the global hacking community, which in the past 24 hours has manage such exploits as crashing the web site of the Swiss bank that supposedly froze Assange's account. And if there is one thing worse than a (now arrested) Australian with a lot of deep throat sources, it is the global hacker community which has just made the international banking system its number one enemy. Expect to see many DDOS attacks on your "favorite" bank portals, coupled with substantial downtime in your neighborhood ATM.

Hah! Simple DDoS's? Fuck no, these aren't CIA script kiddies. Expect these banks to have their databases and user information leaked.

War on international bankers ... wow.

Could hacking into bank computers around the world somehow erase account data? Hummm... naaa... no chance... is there?

It's backed up, but it would cause chaos.

It's a wonder they haven't hacked the Federal Reserve website. Maybe they could replace the information page about the federal reserve with truly factual information about what it has done to the U.S. dollar.

Maybe an audit of some type, lol.

It's not all that hard to take all of the banks down.

As a policy, most banks are multi-vendor shops. There are tons of ways to take down the major vendor's products... simply because there are engineering level passwords that the customer can't change (or that they just don't disclose that are on the product).

I know that the hackers can do the same, so ... have fun banks you're screwed.

Mess with the bull, you better be ready to get the horns.
The bull was tougher when he was younger. His horns are now brittle and when they break off, he'll bleed to death.

I remember talking with a friend about how hackers could play an important role against the NWO. Is this dream starting to come true??

Or more like the sci-fi nightmares in animes where hackers are fighting totalitarian governments. :)

Bank holiday coming courtesy of the hacker community? If such threats get out to the public in large as a serious threat this could cause bank runs. The media will have to downplay the hacker community's abilities ie instill public confidence in financial institutions' security. Right now many people doubt the gov's ability or at least methods of 'securing the people'. If it all comes to manifestation, it could get real ugly given that those threatening actually have the capabilities to do so.

As well, the Patriot Act was written with this kind of non-warfare in mind.

Wow this is getting serious?

If they could've done all of this all along though, I mean cause serious damage, why would they have waited?
