Not as "clear cut" as some, but it still shows these are less lethal, not non lethal weapons.

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina state police are investigating the death of a man who was shocked several times by a Taser during a traffic stop and chase.

The Daily Advance of Elizabeth City reported an autopsy was being conducted on the body of Clayton Early James of Hertford.

Highway Patrol Sgt. Jeff Gordon said James died Thursday night after scuffling with state trooper W.A. Hardison. James drove away from a traffic stop and Hardison followed for seven miles before James tried to get away on foot.

The officer used a Taser on James once during the initial stop and twice during the second. James lost consciousness while Hardison was holding him on the ground after handcuffing him.

Hardison was treated for his injuries and released from the hospital. He is on leave during the investigation.

"Holding" him...... probably choked him to death. They like to knee on your neck.

The Victim suspect was probably resisting arrest when he first got tasered, and so he had to be shocked again and again until he died complied.
