Do you think the Chinese currency will increase or decrease in its value in comparison with other currencies (like Euro/Shekel/Yen/Rupee)?

Thanks guys.

If they get rid of there peg to the dollar it will appreciate against a lot of currencies for a while.

I think the euro is doomed and will die out maybe even before the US dollar.

It has already appreciated by 25% since 2006. Probably still more room for growth, though.

I think it will appreciate in the long run. I would also not be surprised to see them be the first to officially peg their currency to gold in some way. This would send the remimbi flying upwards.

Hmm, and what about the Hong-Kong dollar? Do you think it will appreciate as well?

My uneducated opinion is that the HKD will move about the same as the CNY. Don't think you'll end up with much more proportionate disparity than you already have.

Well from what I read here: http://www.businessweek.com/news/2010-04-13/hong-kong-dollar-peg-to-hold-as-asia-allows-gains-options-show.html

The HKD is pegged to the American Dollar. Now since American Dollar will probably depreciate and possibly a lot, then I guess HKD will also depreciate. Don't you think?
