So, I'm looking at the trades with Goldman Sachs and have found some interesting things. I'm no financial manager, so please tell me what I'm doing wrong...

All values in millions...

I added all the purchase amounts: $76,718.24
I added all the trade value amounts: $159,476.1

The Federal Reserve bought $160 BILLION in 30 year securities from Goldman for $76 BILLION.

Then,

I added all the sale amounts: $10,014.91
I added all the trade value amounts: $47,975.0

The Federal Reserve has sold (so far) $47 BILLION in 30 year securities to Goldman for $10 BILLION.

So, am I reading this right?

Trade amounts are the face value of the MBS package. Face value doesn't really mean much of anything.

Other than that little note, looks like you've got it right.
